From the beautiful Gulf Coast of Florida to the southernmost part of the Blue Ridge Mountains, we couldn’t be more excited to be the owners, and your hosts, at the beautiful Aska Lodge Bed and Breakfast.

About Us

Our lodge sits on just under three wooded, mountainous acres in the Aska Adventure Area near Blue Ridge, Georgia.  The setting feels private, yet you are only about three miles from downtown dining, galleries, and the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway.  Lake Blue Ridge, the Toccoa River corridor, and popular trailheads are an easy drive when you want to get outside.

Planning your stay

Most guests arrive ready to slow down, sleep deeply, and spend daylight hours on the lake, in the woods, or browsing small shops in town.  We serve breakfast on our schedule each morning, with coffee ground fresh for the house.  If you need ideas for a rainy day, a short hike, or a casual dinner reservation, ask at the table and we will point you toward what is open this season.  Cell service can be spotty in the mountains, so it helps to save our phone number before you wind up the ridge.  When you book, tell us about any dietary needs so we can plan the menu without a last-minute scramble.

We were often guests here, staying at Aska Lodge a couple times a year to recharge from our everyday lives. We hope we can help you with that too! We all need to stop and take a breath every so often and we believe our place, coupled with all the North Georgia Mountains have to offer, is just what the doctor ordered!

Before we became innkeepers in 2020, we built careers in public service, including many years in law enforcement.  Along the way we kept creative hobbies alive.  Ask Melissa about her natural soaps and cosmetics, backyard beekeeping, and flight training as a private pilot.

Me?  Well, how does a mere mortal follow that?  I loved college baseball, then spent years in emergency management and health care support before a long career in law enforcement.  In 2013 I was honored as Deputy of the Year.  These days my focus is helping guests feel safe, comfortable, and at home.

All of that is just to let you know a little about us.  More importantly, we’re excited to have you come for a visit.  Our place is your place.  No one in this crazy world should ever feel alone, and we want Aska Lodge to be a place you can come to relax, remain private if that’s what you need, or sit and chat with us. We enjoy visiting with our guests and hearing your stories too!
